Augustus Brown Glossy Porcelain Tile 60x120 cm, Marble Look, Polished, Rectified

Warmth you sense before you name it. The Augustus Brown Glossy carries a deep, warm brown tone with a polished surface that recalls natural marble and gives spaces a pleasantly earthy elegance. A tile with character, without overpowering the room.

Marble Look in a Warm Brown Tone

The Augustus collection interprets the aesthetic of a Central Asian marble in glazed porcelain stoneware. The brown tone takes on a particularly lively quality through the polished surface, shifting with the light throughout the day. In the large 60x120 cm format, the result is a calm, clear installation that combines beautifully with wood, natural stone or understated wall colours.

Technical Properties

Glazed porcelain stoneware, rectified, thickness 9 mm, abrasion class PEI IV. The tile is suitable for floors and walls. Polished surfaces are more sensitive to scratching, so areas with heavy mechanical use should be considered carefully. For this format, we recommend using a decoupling mat to prevent stress cracks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the brown tone suit contemporary interior styles?

Yes. Warm brown tones are currently experiencing a strong renaissance in interior design. The Augustus Brown Glossy fits well into modern, natural and classic living concepts, especially in combination with light walls or wooden elements.

Can the tile be installed on walls?

Yes, the Augustus Brown Glossy is explicitly approved for both floors and walls. On the wall, the polished surface really comes into its own, as there is no mechanical wear to contend with.

Why is a decoupling mat recommended?

With large formats such as 60x120 cm, tensions can build up in the substrate. A decoupling mat absorbs these movements and protects the tiles from cracking over time.

What does rectified mean for this tile?

Rectified means the tile was precisely cut after firing. The edges are exact, making installation with very narrow grout joints possible. The overall result looks calmer and more expansive.

What abrasion class does the Augustus Brown Glossy have?

The tile has abrasion class PEI IV, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as entrance halls. As this is a polished surface, in areas with very heavy abrasion it may be worth considering a matt alternative.
